INTRODUCTION:
Miramare Hotel is located in the area of Moraitika in Corfu Island. The existing hotel
complex was built during the 60’s, and it is placed in a rather flat area, in an olive
yard, stretching along the seaside. The complex is organized in four sections, each
of them owning distinctive characteristics. The Main Building is located in the center
of the resort, adjacent to the 5* hotel and the VIP area. Finally in the north part, the
VVIP residences are developed, in a private environment. There’s also a number of
sparse buildings that host auxiliary functions such as offices, storage areas,
electromechanical functions and dormitories for the stuff.

SCOPE OF WORK:
The project consists of the Design & Built of Miramar Hotel at Corfu Island in Greece.
The work includes Construction – Renovation of Miramar Hotel as per the design
drawings; the scope shall include but not limited to the following elements:

• Five Star Hotel
• Main Building
• Main building pool with Bar
• VIP suites
• VVIP suites
• Auxiliary buildings
• Main building parking and VIP parking areas
• Landscaping development.

The renovation is accomplished in respect to the existing buildings, its load bearing
structure and materiality. However; internal layouts and external facades are
upgraded in order to meet the demanding expectations of a luxury contemporary
resort. Space is transformed in an effort to maximize its views in all directions. The
use of natural materials, offer an atmosphere of timeless aesthetic. The entire design
blends modern Hospitality with local warmth and sophisticated class.

The Hotel Complex consists of 34 preexisting buildings, in particular:

• The main building of the Hotel that hosts all the principal amenities.
• A complex on the south side in three separate two story buildings, which
  contains all the 5 stars rooms equipped with a common swimming pool.
• 11 Bungalows on the North side, with private swimming pools or Jacuzzis
  facilitating the VIP area.
• 4 Bungalows on the Norther side that form a private VVIP complex of suites
  with swimming pools and additional amenities.
• And a number of sparse buildings that host auxiliary functions such as offices,
  storage areas, electromechanical functions and dormitories for the stuff.

Coastal line zone needed a major transformation and licensing. In plus concrete wall
was needed in order to prevent corrosion and for protection reasons.
